Instead, here's a quick insight into the skills and experience I've picked up over the years. Visit my LinkedIn profile for more details.

New Media

Graphic & Web Design/Development

I have approximately nine years experience with the major graphic design and web development software packages including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash and can hand-code HTML and CSS. I also have an understanding of XML, PHP and JavaScript.

Search Engine Optimisation/Marketing

I'm constantly looking to develop my new media skills and am intrigued by the intricacies of search engine ranking. I am also very aware of the importance of pragmatically optimised content having experimented with my own websites, including iombusandrail.info. By considering my target audience and iombusandrail.info's information architectures, I dramatically improved its search engine rankings. I also run a keyword advertising campaign through Google Adsense and manage the performance of my sites using web-based analytical tools, such as Google Analytics.

Social Media

I consider myself an early adopter of social media and can usually be found downloading and messing about with the latest tools. I beleive social networks, such as Twitter and Facebook, when used correctly within a marketing strategy can be a valuable and often cost effective method for engaging with consumers on a more individual level.

I also have my own blog, which allows me to fulfil my 'content creator' side and, as you'll see, I tend to write about anything relating to the Internet, deisgn and social media.
